On March 14, a delegation led by the Dean Zhang Hairong and secretary of the Party Committee Da Xuejun, conducted a research visit to College of Foreign Studies Jinan University. The two sides held in-depth discussions on discipline development, program enhancement, teaching reforms, and talent cultivation. The meeting was attended by professor Pu Ruoqian, Dean of College of Foreign Studies Jinan University, professor Chen Wenju, secretary of the Party Committee, and other faculty representatives.

During the symposium, Dean Pu Ruoqian presented the college's distinctive features rooted in the university's century-old tradition of overseas Chinese education, and shared its accomplishments in academic development. The college adopts a “language + international organization talent ” cultivation model, supported by six research centers for country and area studies to strengthen global communication and cross-cultural studies. The French Language Program strengthens practical teaching through FLEP (French Language Education Partnership), while the The Spanish Language Program partners with the Latin American Center in Hengqin New Area for greater global vision.

The discussions further explored interdisciplinary integration, synergistic development of Party-building and academic endeavors, curriculum optimization, research team development, and international collaboration.

This exchange facilitated mutual learning and provided significant insights for advancing our college’s academic development. Both colleges will strengthen collaboration, jointly pursuing excellence in foreign language education and research.
