On December 1st-7th, 2018, Siyu Chen, a young faculty member of French department of this college, was invited to attend the activity of “Semaine des Jeunes Talents Scientifiques Francophones” in Paris. At the exchange meeting organized by the francophone organization, Chen siyu introduced her project and expressed her opinions on promoting the gender balance in the scientific community, which won the attention and praise from many people, including the directors of Francophonie University Association. Semaine des Jeunes Talents Scientifiques Francophones was co-hosted by Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), Mutuelle des Affaires Etrangères et Européennes, Ministère de L’éducation Nationale, de L’enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche and Ministère de la Culture. It was aimed to call for all the young French talents engaged in dissemination and communication of scientific knowledge worldwide get together in Paris to share their academic researches with professionals and young talents from all over the world. A total of 45 representatives from 27 countries were selected for the Semaine des Jeunes Talents Scientifiques Francophones in 2018, and dialogues were held in organizations including OIF, Ministère de la Culture, la Cité des sciences et l’industrie and Palais de la découverte.
