Prof. Cai Bin, Dean of the college, Dr. Wang Yijing, Director of French Department and Miss Zhou Yan, faculty member of French Department went to the General Consulate of France in Shanghai on Jun. 22nd and had a talk with Dr. Fabien Chareix, Education Consul, Ms Charlotte Yvernaud, Official of Language and Teaching and Mr. Xavier Luce, Official of Higher Education Cooperative Program. They talked about cultural exchange and cooperative teaching between France and the college. Firstly Prof. Cai made a brief introduction of HHU and French Department. Then they went on to talk about things like starting a Summer School in France, a Program Class of “2+2” or “3+1” and cultural exchange activities between two parties. The French attached great importance to the construction and development of our French Department, promising that they would support us by providing teaching guidance and cohosting cultural activities between HHU and French universities as well as grandes ecoles such as cole d'ingénieur and economic management colleges.
