The 3rd Cultural Exchange between Chinese and International graduate students entitled “My Heart Will Be Young Forever” was successfully held on Xikang Campus on the evening of Dec 23rd, 2016. It was co-organized by Graduate Student Unions of College of Environment and this college, attracting more than 200 graduate students to participate. At the party, the students interacted with each other, dancing, singing, and enjoying a unique cultural feast.
The activity was diverse and colorful, in which Chinese students introduced their culture to their foreign friends by singing Chinese songs accompanied by traditional dance, playing traditional musical instruments like Erhu, practicing Chinese kung fu and staging lion dance. In return, the international students introduced their own culture by performing traditional folk dance of Gabon, fan dance of Indonesia, playing guitar, popping and reciting poetry. Their meticulous preparations and energetic performances not only delighted all the audience members but also made them fully exposed to cultural exchange, youthful energy, and a pleasant atmosphere.
This event provided an opportunity for international graduate students and their Chinese schoolmates to understand each other and to enhance their friendship, which has a positive impact on widening their global vision.
