The English Drama Competition organized together by the College English Teaching Department and the English Department started in Jiangning campus in June 6^th. The Party Committee Secretary Wang Yancan and the Deputy Secretary Zhu Zhimei presented as the guests, and Mr. Zhou Jiachen, Mr. Wu Fengqing an Miss. Chuu Shaojing of the College English Teaching Department showed up as judges.

     This competition in total attracted 82 students from 9 colleges and the students were divided into 12 groups. They wrote, directed and acted by their own. Some of their stories came from the famous dramas and novels at all times and in all countries, while some stories were connected with their college life. On the stage, the students fully showed the plot with their fluent English and devoted performance. The competition at last selected 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes, and the awards were given by the guests and judges. The Competition was a great success.

     As one of the series of Campus English Culture Brand Construction “Hello, world!”, this competition aimed at stimulating students’ English-learning enthusiasm, improving their English oral ability and strengthening campus’ English culture atmosphere.
