On August 10-15, 2014, Du Hui, vice President of the College of International  Languages and Cultures of Hohai university was invited to Brisbane, Australia to attend "the 17th World Applied Linguistics Conference "  and made a speech themed “Applying CLT in College English classrooms: Text - focused, Text - related, and the Text – free”. It is reported that the 17th World Applied Linguistics Conference is the most influential one since its first convening in Paris,1964. Delegates were from more than 80 countries and regions and the organizing committee reviewing experts were more than 121. (Wang Xiao)
