An English dubbing and speech contest with the theme of “Bravery & Faith” was held by this college in April in order to inspire students’ language-learning enthusiasm and promote the language-learning atmosphere. The contest was composed of online dubbing and famous speech imitation, also attracting many students from other colleges.
Speech imitation contest was held at Room 602 in Administration Building on Apr.13rd. The judges were Miss Zhou Yi, Miss Zhong Xiyun and two foreign professors, Dr. Du and Logan. Fourteen contestants imitated famous speeches made by celebrities from different times and industries in fluent English and rich body languages, demonstrating the art of English speech. At half time, professors and students appreciated some online English dubbing which won great awards in some contests.
This college is to integrate students’ study experience in campus language exchanges such as English Drama Contest and Foreign Language Handwriting Contest which will be held this term.
